Joining one of our teams requires talent, dedication, commitment, passion, and a desire to learn and grow as a dancer. The tools that our dancers will inherit with this experience are endless - on and off the dance floor. 

*SEASON DATES

July 19, 2021 - July 2022. 

Note - If you are currently on a team you will practice with your current team through Showdown in July. 

*AGES

Any dancer 5 and up may join our clogging teams. 

*HOW TO SIGN-UP

*AUDITIONS

All dancers interested in joining our competition teams must attend auditions on July 13-16th. All dancers must learn a short combo to be performed at auditions. Dancers will be assigned a combo based on their age/experience. There is a $20 audition fee per dancer. Audition times will be assigned and it is your responsibility to notify us within 24 hours if your dancer cannot make their scheduled date or time. 

*TEAM CAMP

All dancers interested in joining our teams for the 2021-2022 season MUST attend the Clogging Team Camp July 19-22nd 5:00-8:00PM. This will include learning choreography, technique and team bonding.

Camp is $120 for the week and all camp fees must be paid by July 1, 2021. 

*COMMITMENT EXPECTATIONS

Team members are expected to make dance a priority. You are expected to be at practice and to give 100% effort in class and out of class. Each team member is expected to be at every practice therefore absences must be excused. We do understand that things happen and certain events take priority. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis at the discretion of the coaches. If a team member has more than three unexcused absences they risk removal from the team.

Once teams are finalized, both parent and dancer will be required to sign a letter of commitment. This letter will guarantee commitment through the duration of the season as well as reinforce our attendance policies.

*REQUIRED CLASSES

Clogging Technique is required for all clogging teams. 

*COMPETITIONS

Competitions are REQUIRED. We will be attending 5 regional competitions and 1 national competition this season.

August 14, 2021 - Battle in B-Town - Bloomington, IN - CCA 

September 2021 - Dance Matrix - Kingsport, TN - CCA

October 9-10, 2021 - Louisville, KY - CCA (World of Clogging makeup)

March 12, 2022 - Smoky Mountain Encore - Gatlinburg, TN - CCA

May 29-30, 2022 - World of Clogging Championships - Cincinnati, OH - CCA

July, 2022 - Showdown of Champions - Knoxville, TN - CCA

*PERFORMANCES

As an IDC team member you will receive many performance opportunities. These are not required, but we highly encourage dancers to participate. 

*COSTUMES

Each team will require a different amount of costumes. Typically each routine has a different costume and costumes range from $45-75. 

*SOLOS & DUOS

Private Lesson Rates (per person)

30 minute lesson - $15
45 minute lesson - $23
60 minute lesson - $30
30 minute recurring monthly lesson - $10/lesson 
45 minute recurring monthly lesson - $15/lesson

Music & Choreography Fees (Duos and Choreographed Solos only)

Music & Choreography Fee - $100 (fee is split for duos)

Regional competition fees are $18 per line solo, $30 per choreographed solo, $15 per duo partner. National competition fees are $20 per line solo, $40 per choreographed solo, $15 per duo partner. 

*TEAMWEAR 

All team members will have the option to order the teamwear package that includes an Adidas jacket with a rhinestoned company logo and an Adidas backpack with company logo embroidery. This is an additional cost and will need to be paid for by 7/1/21. You may choose to order either item.

*ADDITIONAL COSTS

There will be an additional charge for team makeup and earrings. These will be the same as used during the 2020-2021 season, but we will be transitioning to a new earring. They look the same, but are made better. You don’t need to replace old ones, but when it is time you will get the new kind.
