Indiana Dance Company : Dance Studio

My name is Maya Donelson, I am 23 years old and have had a passion for dance and performing arts since I was a little girl! I am originally from Washington State and moved to Bloomington with my boyfriend just over a year ago. I am a fur momma to 2 dogs, Malcolm & Lemmy who are the light of my life. In my free time enjoy exploring new places & traveling with my partner, vintage shopping, strength training, and spending time outdoors. I started dance as a young girl, at 5 years old my mom put me in a ballet class where I found a deep love for preforming and would take any opportunity to be on stage. Getting cast in musicals, taking gymnastics, and ballet. I spent the majority of my childhood in the ballet studio until high school when I joined the cheerleading team where I quickly took on a role as a choreographer. Since my small town did not have lots of dance options I often travelled to nearby cities to attend workshops or private lessons. Dance has impacted my life in so many ways and I have continued to dance in my adulthood and find ways that it benefits my everyday life. I am so excited to have the opportunity to give your little dancers a special love for dancing.

Hi! My name is Addie Egan and I am from Chesterton, Indiana. I am a sophomore at Indiana University and I am studying elementary education and contemporary dance. I have been dancing for 16 years and have trained in multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and more! Along with being a part of IU Contemporary Dance, I am also a member of InMotion Dance Company. I love teaching and sharing my passion for dance, and showing that you can achieve anything you put your mind to! I cannot wait to share my love for dance with Indiana Dance Company and to create and connect together!

Garlynn Gillespie was raised in Marshall County, Kentucky, and traveled across the nation competing in both regional and national dance competitions. She recently earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from Indiana University. She began her training at the Academy of Movement and Performing Arts in Paducah, Kentucky, under the direction of Tressa Wilham, studying ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, tap, and hip-hop. During her time at IU, she expanded her training to include African Diasporic forms and modern dance techniques. Garlynn has served as both an instructor and rehearsal director at AMPA, teaching dancers ages 3–18. She has also attended prestigious intensive programs such as Dance Italia in Lucca, Italy, and the Salt LINK Dance Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is currently training under Corinna Cosentino to become a certified Reformer and Mat Pilates instructor. She looks forward to continuing her journey as a performer and educator, and is eager to share her love of movement with the next generation!

Hello! My name is Diane Kosior and I will be teaching acro and adult jazz on Wednesday evenings! A little bit about me: I am currently a junior in the Kelley School of Business studying marketing and digital media! I am from Crown Point, Indiana and started dancing at the age of 3 taking classes in ballet, jazz, acro, contemporary, lyrical, and pom. I competed with my studio from 1st grade up until 8th grade. I also danced and competed with both my middle and high school dance teams! I am so excited to be teaching this year and am so excited to share my love of dance!

My name is Addyson and I am one of the instuctors at IDC! I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, taking classes in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. I competed with my studio in Naperville, IL from 3rd grade up until 8th grade. I joined my high schools dance team and was a captain for 2 years. Now, I am going into my 4th year on Indiana University RedStepper dance team and am currently the assistant coach for the BHSS Dance Team. I have loved getting the opportunity to share my love for dance with these dancers and cannot wait to continue doing so!

Hi!! My name is Emma Rasines and I am from Denver, Colorado. I have been dancing for the past 15 years and there hasn't been a day in my life where I haven't thanked my parents for enrolling me in my first baby ballet class. Other than dancing, I love to be outdoors, spend time with friends and family, try new coffee shops, and travel! For the past few years I have been coaching gymnastics and as much as I love dance, I immedieatly fell in love with this new sport. I coach all levels, and the kids I work with range in ages from walking to 18 years old. I adore working with children and I am thrilled to starting teaching at IDC!!!
