Indiana Dance Company : Dance Studio

I fell in love with dancing at the age of 3. After 14 years of dancing, I took my first break only to address an injury. I continued dancing after my recovery, learning from many amazing teachers in the Midwest. A few of the teachers I have studied under include Bruce Simpson, Ashley Thursby, Sanjay Saverimuttu, Amanda Rollins, Robin Franck Schulman, Brantly Shapiro, and Josh Ford. My love for teaching began when I started helping with rehearsals and classes for younger students. I grew from being a class assistant to becoming a sub who could step in and teach any class by the age of 16. I have taught at the Jewish Community Center, and served as Faculty at the Louisville Ballet School. I look forward to working at Indiana Dance Company and helping dancer grow in the skills but also in their love for dance.

My name is Maya Donelson, I am 23 years old and have had a passion for dance and performing arts since I was a little girl! I am originally from Washington State and moved to Bloomington with my boyfriend just over a year ago. I am a fur momma to 2 dogs, Malcolm & Lemmy who are the light of my life. In my free time enjoy exploring new places & traveling with my partner, vintage shopping, strength training, and spending time outdoors. I started dance as a young girl, at 5 years old my mom put me in a ballet class where I found a deep love for preforming and would take any opportunity to be on stage. Getting cast in musicals, taking gymnastics, and ballet. I spent the majority of my childhood in the ballet studio until high school when I joined the cheerleading team where I quickly took on a role as a choreographer. Since my small town did not have lots of dance options I often travelled to nearby cities to attend workshops or private lessons. Dance has impacted my life in so many ways and I have continued to dance in my adulthood and find ways that it benefits my everyday life. I am so excited to have the opportunity to give your little dancers a special love for dancing.

I'm Miss. Ellie, I'm entering my Junior year at Indiana University and I'm majoring in Event Management. I've been dancing since I was 3 years old and have always been very connected to art. I found a love for choreographing early on and then fell in love with teaching in high school. I'm experienced in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and pointe! As a way to continue my passion for dance in college, I joined a student dance organization called Inmotion Dance Company for which I am the Head Director of Contemporary. Now I will continue my passion for teaching here at Indiana Dance Company and I am very excited to join the team!

Hello! My name is Diane Kosior and I will be teaching acro and adult jazz on Wednesday evenings! A little bit about me: I am currently a junior in the Kelley School of Business studying marketing and digital media! I am from Crown Point, Indiana and started dancing at the age of 3 taking classes in ballet, jazz, acro, contemporary, lyrical, and pom. I competed with my studio from 1st grade up until 8th grade. I also danced and competed with both my middle and high school dance teams! I am so excited to be teaching this year and am so excited to share my love of dance!

My name is Amanda, and I've been teaching at Indiana Dance Company since 2019. I currently am the Studio & Team Manager where I work mostly with our competitive dance teams! I've lived in Bloomington most of my life and grew up competitively dancing for 12 years. I have extensive training in competitive jazz, lyrical, poms, and tap, and recreational ballet and contemporary. After graduating from competitive dancing, I began exploring coaching & choreography, which is what Im lucky to do as my full-time job now! I am married to Isaiah, my high school sweetheart, and we have a beautiful baby boy, Kairos!

My name is Addyson and I am one of the instuctors at IDC! I have been dancing since I was 3 years old, taking classes in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. I competed with my studio in Naperville, IL from 3rd grade up until 8th grade. I joined my high schools dance team and was a captain for 2 years. Now, I am going into my 4th year on Indiana University RedStepper dance team and am currently the assistant coach for the BHSS Dance Team. I have loved getting the opportunity to share my love for dance with these dancers and cannot wait to continue doing so!

I have been dancing for the past 15 years and there hasn't been a day in my life where I haven't thanked my parents for enrolling me in my first baby ballet class. Other than dancing, I love to be outdoors, spend time with friends and family, try new coffee shops, and travel! For the past few years I have been coaching gymnastics and as much as I love dance, I immedieatly fell in love with this new sport. I coach all levels, and the kids I work with range in ages from walking to 18 years old. I adore working with children and I am thrilled to starting teaching at IDC!!!

Hello my name is Ava Wegenke and I am excited to join the company as a new instructor! With 16 years of dance experience, I am eager to be back in the studio sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for dance! Currently I'm a student at Indiana University and when not dancing you can find me at various sporting events working towards my degree in sports media! Tap is what originally captured my heart and love for dance, but I am excited to teach and inspire my students through various other styles as well! My goal is to create a fun and safe environment where everyone can explore their creative sides through rhythm and movement while also growing their technical skills.
